Printing & Customization Methods

Different products use different printing or decoration methods. Each has unique characteristics and limitations:

  • Direct-to-Garment (DTG): Uses water-based inks to print directly onto fabric. Best for 100% cotton garments. Colors may appear softer or slightly muted compared to digital screens. Not ideal for heavy blends or water-resistant fabrics.
  • Direct-to-Film (DTF): Prints designs onto a film which is then heat-pressed to the fabric. Allows for vibrant colors on a wider range of fabrics, including blends. Has a slightly different texture than DTG and may feel less integrated into the fabric.
  • Digital Printing: Used for items like posters, stickers, and cards. Provides crisp detail and full-color gradients, but final colors can vary due to paper finish and screen calibration.
  • Sublimation: A heat-transfer process that dyes the design directly into the material. Produces vibrant, durable colors but only works on light-colored, high-polyester fabrics or specially coated hard goods. Whites in designs remain the color of the product base.

For all methods: Colors may look different in person compared to digital previews due to screen settings, fabric texture, and environmental factors. Minor variations in placement and size are normal within industry tolerances.

Embroidery

Embroidery uses thread instead of ink, resulting in a textured finish. Designs may differ slightly from the digital preview. For detailed embroidery guidelines and available thread colors, see our Embroidery Guidelines & Thread Colors page.

Sizing

Product measurements can vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Always check our size guides before ordering. Shrinkage may occur with natural fibers.

Materials

Natural fibers like cotton can have slight shrinkage and color variation between batches. Synthetic fabrics may print differently than cotton due to texture and coating.

  • All products are made to order.
  • Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.
  • Minor variations in color, placement, and size are not considered defects.
  • Returns are not accepted for variations that fall within industry standards.
  • Contact us within 14 days of delivery if you experience issues with your order.
